When people make decisions what is it based on? Emotions? Logic? Some people just make rash decisions based on how mad they are that moment. Some people think out what they are doing and stop themselves from making choices that will effect the rest of there life. How people make decisions really can effect how there life will be or is. Sitting down and thinking about what you are about to do can help at times. On that same note being able to make the right decision while mad or really happy can be helpful too.
Although there are many examples I can choose the first I will use is gambling. This is something many people can get carried away with. Some people while gambling make decisions base on how happy they get when they win or how mad they get when they lose. The better gamblers think it out for example "man I just lost $100 dollars I should slow down how much money I am putting down and not over spend". Where the non thinkers "Man I just lost $100 but it is so fun if I bet again I should win".
This example could go either way. The thinker could save himself a lot of money just by walking away. Now the non thinker could lose a lot of money but staying. The other two things that could happen would be one the non thinker or the person acting on emotions could risk his money and win BIG. When last the thinker could walk away when his next hand or next use of a slot machine could have made him a lot of money. Next time you make a choice remember don't always act on emotion but don't be afraid to take a risk.

Why Can't We Be Friends
There are many reasons people need love and affection. The first reason being, everyone needs someone to tell thier problems to. They also would never know if what you are doing is wrong with out people saying that it is wrong. Everyone needs someone to talk to you could never go though life with out someone. Just having one person to talk to can help in times when you have problems. You also might need someone for some tasks in life.
The second reason is to teach each other things. In life people learn from other people's mistakes. For example If I see my mom or someone I live with do something like go and cook dinner. If they do not preheat the oven the dinner may not come out right but if it does work and saves time. I can learn what to do from them testing it. When I cook dinner next I will know what will work and what wont.
The last reason being to learn who you are you have to see what other people do to make choices. For example if someone smokes just by seeing a person smoke and depending on who they are most people will decided if they like smoking or not. People think to themselfs if they are going to be that type of person or not just by seeing other people doing it. Most things you do are based on things other people do so next time you do something like the way you study think about why you do and it will most likely be because of other people doing it that way first.

Rejection Occurs to Much
In the story Frankenstein the monster is rejected by everyone because of what he looks like. This type of stuff happens all over the world every day, yes I am talking about rejection. There are many different names for it, some call it bullying, some just call it life. No matter what you call it it happens to everyone. You can be the person being rejected or rejecting someone.
One example of rejection is when some one just wants to be part of a group this could be anyone. It could be at a new job when you are forty or your first day of school when you are five. People can just be mean for the most part, some do it because they don't think it will effect anyone and some because they are in front of a group of friends and want to look "cool". What most don't do is think of what it may do to effect that person.
That person someone might reject could have ended up being his or her best friend, but just because they thought his or her cloths were stupid looking or they had a bad haircut they will act childish. Most people even though they should, they don't look back on when they were rejected. If they were to look back they might think I should include this kid because I remember how left out I felt, and how much I just wanted to be treated like I belonged. If everyone would do this rejection would become a less occurring thing.

Personal Responsibility
What is personal responsibility? This is a question asked many times by many people. To me personal responsibility is when one person is in charge of their life. They make their decisions and do what they want. Personal responsibility can be a job too choosing to get up and go to school in the morning. In the end when it comes down to it, personal responsibility is what someone does with their life.
When some thing bad happens and someone has to take responsibility.I know I have to bear the responsibility only if I had something to do with it. Also sometimes when it makes the situation easier to just take responsibility. For example if I was to be in a car with a friend and we were driving stupid. If I was to tell my friend or the driver to do something that may end in a crash, and he was to do it ending up crashing. Even though most of the time people would blame the driver because he did not have to listen to me, I would still take some blame for it.
Another example would be for the second thing I said "when it makes the situation easier". Lets say my mom finds something broken before we go camping one weekend. She says "we will not leave until someone tells me who broke this". Even if I KNOW I did not break it and my sister did. It is easier to say I did it then wait for my sister to finally admit it.

The Unknown
People have for as long as we have known to search for the unknown. For example Christopher Columbus searching for a faster way to India. Back then they did not even know if the world was round. Even today there are people searching the unknown just not on Earth; in space we keep on finding more and more things farther out with new technology. People will always look for the unknown and will never stop finding it because there is always something new.
I think people devote themselves to finding the unknown because they want to do something with there life that will be remembered. Some people find the unknown and are not remember as well as others. For example who discovered Antarctica? and who was the first man on the moon? I bet I can tell which most people know.
When people do devote there lives to discovering something that person ends up sacrificing a lot. They can end up not seeing there families for long amounts of time. They can end up dieing just trying to get where they want to go. They all give up something to meet there dream of finding what no one has found before. To some people there dream might sound crazy so they may also be left with out help. People give up many things, to many to list but all for a reason.
